Homebrew Greek God Species Details

Throughout the Greek era of the series, Kratos is portrayed as a Spartan warrior, who became known as the "Ghost of Sparta" after accidentally killing his family due to the trickery of his former mentor Ares, the God of War. He later avenges the deaths of his family and becomes the new "God of War" after killing Ares. Kratos is eventually revealed to be a demigod and the son of Zeus, who later betrays him. Kratos embarks on several adventures in attempts to avert disaster or to change his fate. He is usually portrayed as being oblivious to all else and is stoic, bloodthirsty, and arrogant in nature, often engaging in morally ambiguous activities and performing acts of extreme violence. However, he frequently questions himself, undergoes bouts of severe guilt and self-hate, even attempting suicide several times, and is generally portrayed as a tragic figure. Vengeance is a central theme of the Greek era, and installments focus on Kratos' origins and his relationships with his family and the Olympian gods. In the Norse era of the series, Kratos finds himself controlling his rage and learning how to truly be a father and mentor to his son, Atreus, helping him come to terms with his divinity. Along their journey, they combat monsters and gods of the Norse Realm, of whom they make enemies, which inevitably leads to the catastrophic battle of Ragnarok.

Greek God Traits

Kratos has improved physical power of a Human and has the additional traits of Spartan Rage and God Slayer.

Ability Score Increase

Kratos' strength increases by 5 and all his other ability scores each increase by 1.

Spartan Rage

Spartan Rage: (Lasts 4 turns or until combat ends) Kratos can no longer use weapons and becomes immune to all forms of damage. Kratos attacks with his fists and does 1d8 damage each hit. Kratos has double movement distance during the ability. Each punch that Kratos lands heals himself 50% of the damage dealt. When the ability ends, Kratos can use weapons again, loses his damage immunity, and loses his movement distance increase. 

Spartan Rage can only be used once per combat encounter.

When Kratos is fighting a godlike creature, Spartan Rage last 2 turns longer and he deals further increased damage at 1d10 per hit.

God Slayer

Kratos' damage is doubled to any godlike creature. Spartan Rage last 2 extra turns and makes Kratos do more damage while fighting a godlike creature.

Age

Kratos does not die of old age and can live forever if not physically killed.

Size

Kratos is 6 feet 4 inches and incredibly muscular. He is a Large man.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 40 feet.

Kratos can speak and understand every language.
