Homebrew Blood fiend Species Details
Blood Fiends are a mysterious and elusive race that have long been feared and misunderstood by other inhabitants of the world. They are known for their bloodlust, which drives them to feed off the blood of their enemies and steal their life force for their own sustenance.
Physically, Blood Fiends are quick and agile, with a dexterity boost that allows them to move with lightning-fast speed. They are small in stature, typically no taller than 5 feet, with small red horns protruding from their foreheads and a long, slender tail that ends in a sharp point. They also have small, sharp claws that allow them to climb and maneuver through tight spaces.
Despite their fearsome appearance and bloodthirsty tendencies, Blood Fiends are not inherently evil. They are simply creatures driven by instinct and a primal need to survive. However, their feeding habits and appearance have led many to view them with suspicion and fear, much like the Tieflings.
Blood Fiends are skilled hunters and trackers, able to sense the scent of blood from great distances. They often make their homes in secluded areas such as caves, thickets, and other hidden locations where they can hunt and feed without drawing unwanted attention.
In combat, Blood Fiends are formidable foes, able to move with incredible speed and agility. Their bloodlust also gives them the ability to steal health from their enemies, making them difficult to defeat in battle.
Overall, Blood Fiends are a unique and intriguing addition to any D&D campaign. Their bloodthirsty tendencies and quick reflexes make them a formidable foe, while their small size and ability to hide in tight spaces make them excellent scouts and infiltrators.

In combat, Blood Fiends can use their claws to make a melee attack against a creature, stealing health from them and transferring it to themselves. The amount of health stolen is equal to a portion of the damage dealt by the attack.
