Homebrew Zombie/Undead Species Details

Walking in two worlds but truly belonging to neither, the Undead are an oddity to even the greatest scholars. You are something that breaks the very rules of the world, and for that, you are shunned. You may have been born from a Necromancer, a deity, a demon, or anything else you can think of. One way or another, you ended up alive, and have no recollection of when you were alive. You do not know even your name.

Of Two Worlds

To the living, the Undead look like whatever species they had been before they died. However, to other undead, they are simply undead, and do not mind them. Your appearance entirely depends on whatever you were before you died, whether it be a Dragonborn, a high elf, or even a goblin. However, you are likely missing bits of your body, and look well, dead.

Wanderers

As an undead, you don’t tend to have any goal in life, because you don’t have a clue on the world. You are most likely a wanderer, endlessly searching for something. Is it answers, or is it a reason to continue?

In most parts of the world, though, undead are so uncommon most people tend to completely rule them out if they ever spot one, just assuming they’re an odd person. Though, the stench of death will never quite leave, nor will that dull look in your eyes.
