Homebrew Dracovire Species Details
The Dracovire is a species similar to that of the dragonborn yet there are some very noticeable differences, for one the dracovire begin their life with two large wings unlike their dragonborn counter part that have to wait to begin growing in their wings. These creatures tend to have dark, near black scales with a slight purplish hue, they have two long thin fangs and even longer claws, their frilled main of head spikes are rather short compared to most dragonborns but they are much thicker and durable, sometimes the dracovire will use them as battering rams if their hands or legs are not free. The dracovires are not highly intelligent beings, as they tend to fall to their more animalistic nature whenever the situation may call for it. Their legs are highly adapted for speed and mobility, allowing them to spring around the battle field running circles around their foes.

When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your breath weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
