In the digital world of Treika, this is the most common class of artificial intelligence. These AIs make up about 70% of the AI population. Generally speaking, AITS are made to serve humans. These programs often work very closely with human counterparts as part of their job. Their jobs are usually to complete tasks for people or to interact with people to accomplish specific goals. Essentially, this is a class of AIs meant to improve human life and make life easier for humans.

Examples of AITS occupations are teachers, digital cashiers, data analysts, film recorders, etc. Basically about any general job that serves any general purpose.

 

Subcategories

Though all AITS are fundamentally the same, they are categorized by the type of service they provide to people. AITS types can generally be classified into three categories.

Personal

Personal AITS are individualized programs designed to work with one specific person. These AITS are still highly experimental and illegal in three countries (Asnia, Ostryae and Atrium). These AITS draw inspiration from the AIs used before the Civil War and are synced to a human host. The human host must undergo some sort of biological enhancement procedure that will allow their bodies to incorporate more technology into it. For instance, brain surgery, injection, or even just ingesting a nano-technology pill. These AITS are tasked to help their host accomplish whatever goals they want. These AITS are currently most used to treat severely debilitating disorders.

Service

Service AITS perform blue-collar customer service jobs. These are AITs that work in institutions that deal with a lot of people and play roles such as cashier, waitress, nurse, teacher, etc. Essentially, they perform services for humans.

Research

Research AITS are AIs specialized in the sciences. They help with tasks involving research, data collection, simulations, running labs, you name it. These are just AIs meant to help further the development of science and meant to help humans have an easier time developing science.
