Homebrew Armored Goliath Species Details

Backstory:

In the ancient and mystical world of Elarion, a race of formidable beings known as the Armored Goliaths has long roamed the land. Born from the divine union of the earth goddess, Terra, and the god of metal and craftsmanship, Volkan, these colossal protectors stand as a testament to the power and resilience of their divine lineage. 

 

When Terra and Volkan first merged their essence, they sought to create a race of beings that would embody the strength and protection of the earth and the unyielding nature of metal. And so, the Armored Goliaths were born - a race of towering, metallic-skinned guardians who would serve as the vanguards of Elarion's most sacred and powerful places.

 

Throughout the ages, the Armored Goliaths have remained fiercely loyal to their divine creators. They have labored tirelessly to protect Elarion's sacred sites, forging powerful weapons and impenetrable armor to defend against any who would dare to desecrate the land they hold dear. As a result, the Armored Goliaths have earned a reputation as stalwart defenders and legendary warriors.

 

The bodies of Armored Goliaths are a marvel to behold, composed of a unique blend of organic and metallic components. Their skin is as hard as steel, forged from a blend of iron, copper, and other metals, which grant them unmatched resilience and strength. Beneath this metallic exterior lies a dense, muscular structure that allows them to wield enormous weapons and carry heavy loads with ease. 

 

Despite their imposing appearance, the Armored Goliaths possess a deep connection to the earth and its natural elements. Metallic Resilience: You have resistance to your choice of nonmagical bludgeoning piercing or slashing damage Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common, Giant and one other language of your choice.

You are covered in thick plates of metal armor that provide you with natural armor. Your AC is equal to 16 + your Dexterity modifier (maximum of +2).
