Homebrew Snake Folk Species Details

Snake-folk are nearly as large as their hound-kin, and are covered in thick scales. They tend to be analytical and resilient, but they are not a cold people in spite of outward appearances. They often have a desire to enact some form of justice in the world.

Tremorsense

Snake-folk can sense the bodies of those nearby through heat, vibration and air currents. Snake-folk have tremor-sense to ten feet.

Rejuvenation

Snake-folk are connected to the re-birthing of the world and the people within it. Their ancestry is linked to the egg just as much as the great serpent. Once per short rest you may spend a bonus action and expend one of your hit dice. You regain a number of hit-points equal to that rolled dice plus your constitution modifier.

Heavily Scaled

You are covered head to toe in thick scales that provide excellent protection if you find yourself without armour. When you aren’t wearing armour, your AC is 13 + your Dexterity modifier. A shield’s benefits apply as normal.
