Homebrew Wendifolk Species Details

Wendifolk originated from a tribe that was cursed by the spirit of the Wendigo.Apearing in the form of humans often they are among the common folk. They conceal their true form which is that of a tall and thin humanoid with bony limbs and deer skull as a head hovering above the shoulders. The skull’s looks depend on the age and gender of the humanoid that it is.They usually take the form or attractive humans to make up for their true shape. They can’t cover for what happens once every year on the darkest night.Every year on the Darkest Day they are consumed by a uncontrollable hunger for humanoid flesh and at this their true form rises to the surface and their disguise is broken. Most lock themselves up for this day but their strength grows when they are wild. There are some that have embraced their true form and live like they are. These few have learned to harness the monsters inside them to their advantage.Upon creation you add +1 to all scores and gain advantage on deception.
