Homebrew Benrey Species Details
Benrey are daemons who feed on irritation and gain power from the presence of passports and similar documentation. Benrey tend to all appear similar and have near identical personalities, drawing theories about if they are a hivemind or not. Benrey who are questioned appear to not know either.
Benrey Traits
The following traits are observed in BenreyAge
It is unknown if Benrey are born or if they are spawned like some other daemons. Benrey remain the same appearance for their entire observed lifespan, and appear to not grow weak from age.
Languages
Knows Abyssal as most Daemons speak to each other. Can roll 1d6 and will also know as many other languages equal to result.
Aspect of Benrey
If at the end of an encounter your character died and failed a saving throw, your dead character will be replaced by a new Benrey. Roll 1d20: if you roll 20, your items remain, and your new Benrey is a your level -1. If you roll 1, you become level 1, and save a single item from your death. DM may decide what any rolls in between determine.
