Homebrew Dovahmun (Dragonborn-Human) Species Details

Dovahmun are hybrids born from a Dragonborn father and a Human mother. Although one might look mostly human at a distance, they preserve many features of their draconic fathers. Dovahmun have sharp teeth, slit eyes, talons on their hands, draconic tails, colorful hair and skin the color of their ancestors' scales; from within, like their fathers, they can also produce a breath weapon when the need arises. Some are asymmetrical, with one arm or both being huge monstrous dragon-claws. They are tall, standing between 5'1" and 6'3", and naturally muscular, weighing between 128-267lbs. Some confuse them for strange-looking Genasi or Shapechangers; others are simply made uncomfortable by their alien looks.

Much like normal Dragonborn, the disposition and alignment of Dohvamun are influenced by those of their draconic ancestors; oftentimes, this echo of their blood haunts them like a whisper, nudging them to act in certain ways. So does the draconic inclination to pursue nothing but excellence, and to occasionally fall prey to haughtiness and impatience; these natural inclinations are much weaker in Dovahmun, however, than they are in Dragonborn. They tend to be more outspoken about their thoughts and feelings than most humans, but are less brazen and blunt than their fathers.

Though they are intimidating and alien, Dohvamun also retain much of their human mothers' famous adaptability and tend to be eager to learn. Oftentimes, however, they end up in reclusivity, as their odd appearance and monstrous traits attracts negative looks from others in common society.
