The Yeilding

As an Ironteeth Witch, you possess the innate ability to enter a state known as The Yielding, where you surrender your body to the overwhelming power of your magical bloodline. This extraordinary ability allows you to unleash a devastating explosion of energy, obliterating yourself and everything in your vicinity. However, Ironteeth Witches rarely choose to utilize The Yielding, considering it a deeply solemn and irreversible sacrifice. The specifics of this ability are as follows:

  • Explosive Eruption: When you choose to activate The Yielding, you enter a state of intense concentration, channeling the potent magic within you. As a result, a cataclysmic explosion of energy is unleashed, engulfing the area around you. The explosion affects all creatures within a 30-foot radius centered on you.

  • Devastating Damage: Each creature within the radius must make a Dexterity saving throw against a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. On a failed save, a creature takes fire damage equal to 4d10 + your Constitution modifier. On a successful save, the damage is halved.

  • Irrevocable Sacrifice: Activating The Yielding exacts a heavy toll on your body and spirit. As the explosion subsides, you are reduced to ashes, sacrificing your own existence in the process. Once The Yielding is triggered, you cannot be resurrected or brought back to life by any means.

Note: Ironteeth Witches, guided by their cultural traditions and beliefs, seldom invoke The Yielding. They regard this ultimate act of sacrifice with reverence and view it as a sacred and irreversible offering of their life force. The Yielding is typically reserved for the direst of circumstances or when the survival of their coven or loved ones hangs in the balance.
