Homebrew Barraki Species Details
Sentenced to a maximum security prison in the deepest parts of the ocean are where many a Barakki start. War criminals so dangerous, that death and ordinary prisons would be too easy a sentence. Thus, under the harshest of pressures in the deepest ocean must they rot. Forever to stew, unable to die and capable of breathing due to the prison's special features. However, be it sheer willpower or a shift in magical energy, the seal that had bound them is broken. This does not mean the Barakki leave unaltered. The ocean's mutagenic properties and the jails water breathing spells have allowed the criminals to mutate into nightmarish beasts of the sea. Some are so far mutated, they have lost their old selves. Unable to recall the past, and unsure of the future. Some have spent less time in the prisons, leading to them retaining some or all their memories. What happens next, one can't really say. Some may be wiser, while others think their troubles are over. Those that do, will find that they've only just begun.
A quick build for the Barraki would be Strength first, then Dexterity or Constitution after.
