Homebrew Zombified Piglin Species Details

From the Nether dimension, Zombified Piglins are undead humanoids that have transformed due to Uncanny circumstances. Typically being struck by lightning, or dimension hopping. Zombified Piglins have pig like features most prominently show in their face, their skin is rotting away exposing bones.

Like piglins, Zombified piglins are Nether dwelling creatures, resulting in specific buffs and de-buffs. Zombified Piglins are rare both, in the Overworld and in the Nether Dimension, and are typically looked down upon. 

Your Zombified Piglin character might be stray away from society, but most Zombified Piglins have learned to Utilize their strange abilities and appearances to fit in.

Creating Your Character

If you create a Zombified Piglin character, follow these additional rules during character creation.

Ability Score Increases

When determining your character’s ability scores, increase your constitution by +1, and increase your strength by +2

Languages

Your character can speak, read, and write Common and Undercommon

Life Span

Zombified Piglins usually live up to 56 years, reaching adulthood at the same rate as humans

Height and Weight

Player characters, including Zombified Piglins, typically fall into the same ranges of height and weight that humans have in our world. If you’d like to determine your character’s height or weight randomly, consult the Random Height and Weight table in the Player’s Handbook, and choose the row in the table that best represents the build you imagine for your character.

Zombified Piglin Traits

You have the following racial traits:

Ability score increases

When determining your character’s ability scores, increase the strength score by 2 and increase the constitution score by 1. Follow this rule regardless of the method you use to determine the scores, such as rolling or point buy.

Languages

Your character can speak, read, and write Common and Undercommon. The Player’s Handbook offers a list of widespread languages to choose from. The DM is free to add or remove languages from that list for a particular campaign.

You are medium.

Speed

Your walking speed is 30ft.

Undead Presence

Zombified Piglins are unusual both in the Overworld and the Nether dimension. Due to their rotting half-open appearances and obscurity majority of populations are scared of them. This includes Piglins themselves.

When you make an Intimidation Charisma check against another Humanoid, roll with advantage.

Nether Dweller

Zombified Piglins Were Born in the Nether dimension, for this reason You gain the following buffs and de-buffs:

• You are immune to fire damage
• You have resistance against poison damage
• You are vulnerable to Radiant damage

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of yourself as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
