Homebrew Zomax Species Details
The culture of the Zomax is one of pride, violence, and deep appreciation for the natural world. Despite being human-like in appearance, all Zomaxian people are born with tattoos of various colors that faintly glow. The tattoos often cover the torso, symmetrical and tribal. Sometimes the tattoos depict various animals - perhaps due to an ancestor slaying a particularly powerful one. Additionally, Zomaxians are born with bright glowing eyes - usually yellow, green, or red. Zomaxian men are on average 6'2", with some even growing as tall as 7'0". Zomaxian women average 5'9"-6'2". Most Zomaxians are barrel chested and well built, with warm skin tones (usually a bronze-like or gold-like color).
With the recent wars in the Sol Kulraxia, many Zomaxians have fled North to Morevano as refugees, often settling in Maltaboa and Milinora. They are often very skeptical of organized religion, and are a very proud people. They make excellent scouts, warriors, and mystics. Their Empire hides many secrets in the vast jungles of Sol Kulraxia. As such, many Zomaxians are a very curious people. They look to their great Vine Mothers for "guidance of the Stars " a religious doctrine that preaches unity with the natural world.
