Demons in Hell may appear to have red skin and horns, but in the mortal planes of existence they only appear as black smoke until they possess a human.

There is no known way to kill a Demon. They are, in a sense, immortal. However, they can be forced out of their vessel if they are exorcised and sent back to Hell or the vessel in which they possess dies in combat or by other means.

As a being of pure evil, the alignment of a Demon character must be Chaotic-Evil.

A Demon's speed is 45 ft. when out of their vessel. While possessing someone, they take on the speed of the vessel they are possessing.

A Demon can read and write Common and Infernal.

Since Demon's appear as clouds of black smoke on the mortal plane, they are considered to be in the Small class of creatures/entities.

You can choose 2 skills between Deception, Insight, Intimidation, Perception, Persuasion, and Religion to be proficient in.

Because they are beings from Hell, Demons innately can cast a select few spells.

- At Level 1, Demons innately know the Possession spell.

- At Level 3, Demons can cast Thaumaturgy at will.

- At Level 5, Demons can cast Control Flames at will.

- At Level 7, Demons can cast Produce Flame at will.

- At Level 10, Demons can cast Spare the Dying at will.

Demons are known for making deals with mortals. They can "grant' any "wish" that an NPC requests of them, and in exchange the Demon asks for the NPC's soul.

- Rules for Deal Making -

1.) A Demon must make a Persuasion check to persuade the NPC to take the deal (if they are hesitant).

2.) If an NPC accepts a deal from a Demon, the NPC must roll a d20. This is to determine how many years they have until their soul will be collected by the Demon. 

3.) If the "wish" is to bring someone back from the dead, the NPC has a -5 to their d20 roll.

4.) Demons have Dis.Adv. when attempting to make deals with Priests or Holy Men.
