Homebrew Beeble Swarm Species Details

Pink and Fuzzy

Standing at an average height of just six inches, Beebles resemble a charming fusion of adorable creatures, combining the qualities of butterflies, bumblebees, and small furry mammals. Their wings, reminiscent of delicate butterfly wings, shimmer with an iridescent glow, reflecting the colors of the rainbow when touched by sunlight. These wings grant them the ability to flutter and hover effortlessly, making them appear as graceful as the dancing petals of a flower.

With fuzzy, pastel-colored bodies covered in soft fur, Beebles possess an irresistible cuddly charm. Their tiny round eyes glisten with curiosity and kindness, portraying a sense of innocence and wonder. Their miniature paws, resembling those of a squirrel, allow them to climb and scurry with unmatched agility. Beebles Nature

They are funny little creatures and are often used as summons from mages for entertainment purposes. They can be used as bouncy shoes, projectiles, even pickpockets. The average Beeble can do just about anything, and even though they can share a hive mind they each can have their own individual though and dreams.

Origins

No one knows where the first Beebles came from, but many reside deep in the Dominarian jungles. It is unknown if the were always there or if they are escaped experiments. Clans of Beebles bind to soulstones giving them their unique hivemind and integrating them into society.

Beebles encountered outside their own lands are commonly looking for a change of scenery, as beebles are attracted to fun. They might also travel to find a new home if their old one is taken.

Perception of others

Beeble swarms are not very well integrated in society, as they are mostly used as test subjects. Most people don't even know they exist. Their many personalities may casue some people, as well as the fact that they talk over each other. When teh soul stone of teh beeble speecks, it is much easier for non-Beebles to understand them as all beebles say the same things.

Soulstones

Each hive of beebles is controlled by a soulstone, which is the hives personality. The soulstone is like the beebles caretaker, and it usually lets them have their own individual fun as long as they are surrounding the soulstone. It prefers to keep a humanoid shape. It can also control all the beebles for roleplay purposes, and can make all the beebles say the same thing at once. All the Beebles are ok with it and never revolt. The Beebles main point in life is to protect their soulstone, they don't have that much self-preservation, leading them to die often. When they do, the soulstone can regenerate fallen Beebles with either a long rest, short rest, or any other way to heal. Healing spells must be cast on the soulstone itself.

Beeble Names

Individual Beebles aren't typically born with names but they may invent a silly one to integrate themselves better into society. The beebles do give their soulstone a name, and that can represent the entire swam. Soulstone names are usually acronyms, like the following ones:

Beeble swarms/soulstones have no gender but each individual beeble does.

Beeble Swarm Traits

Your Beeble swarm is very unique as each beeble is individual while part of the greater hivemind.

Ability Score Increase

Your Constitution score increases by 1, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.

Age

Beebles don't age, but their constant death means that they want to protect their soulstone because if they die and they don't have a soulstone they don't respawn. A healthy soulstone can live many thousands of years, but are usually harvested as ingredients for upcoming wizards to summon beebles.

Shapechanger's Size

The Beeble swarm can use its bonus actipn to Polymorph into any shape up to a size different then its original, but is usually in its humanoid form. Its Statistics are the same in each form. Any Equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. 

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet. 

Beeble Swarm

At any time, you can expend 1 hitpoint to expel a beeble from you, under your control. You can also envelop a nearly beeble to regain 1 hitpoint. You may have no more then your proficiency mod amount of  beebles roaming free at any time.

Size Change

As the Beeble Swarm's health increases or decreases so does its size.

Beeble Form

The Beeble swarm can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing. 

Regeneration

When a Beeble dies, it explodes in pinkish blue paint. A small see through Beeble soul leaves the body and returns to the soulstone. When the Beeble swarm/soulstone is healed by a rest, healing spell, or any other way, the beeble is regenerated with its memories and rejoins the swarm.

Languages

You can speak Common, Sylvan, and one other language of your choice. The swarm speaks Sylvan between itself, and most people can't understand it. The bonus language is picked up by the beebles various individuals adventures.
