Homebrew Wormborn Species Details
The Worm King and Worm Queen created a race known as the Worms, a powerful and mindless army that did their every deed. Thwarted by a band of adventurers, they died. However, they're dead bodies merged to become Worm Zero, a cancerous version of the Worm race. Entering the Material Plane, they rooted into the ground itself, implanting its cancerous mass. After being defeated by the same group of adventurers, Worm Zero fell into the ocean and exploded. The roots disappeared into the ground never to be seen again. However, their infection spread to newborn human infants, creating the corrupted race of Wormborn.
