Homebrew Cypherbeast Species Details

Cypherbeasts are a race of humanoid creatures with skin matching their horns, one eye, and pointy lower fangs. They have black hair, but it's often dyed other colors. They speak a strange and complicated language unintelligible to most. They are naturally very curious and because of the way they are built often are very dextrous. They live in the Outer Space Plane. A mirror of the Elder Realms that has weak gravity and warped physics. It is surrounded by a sea of plasma.

Cypherbeasts have a caste system based on the color of their skin and horns. Only nobles have silver or gold horns. The career path of a Cypherbeast depends on their color. They don't get to choose. Acolytes have yellow horns. Folk Heroes have any horn color. Guild artisans have coppery horns. Soldiers have gray horns. Sages have purple horns. Sailors have dark blue horns. Outlanders have green horns. Outlanders live in the wilderness, and only Cypherbeasts living in the wilderness have green horns. Hermits have any color of horns. Entertainers have pink horns. Charlatans have any horn color. Criminals have any color of horns. Urchins have any skin tone, usually the same as their parents, but their horns fade to clear at the ends. Backgrounds that have any horn color are ones that wouldn't be decided at birth. Urchins have clear horns because it is seen as a defect and they are often thrown out by their parents to live in the streets.
