Homebrew Deep Dragonborn Species Details
Their scales often display dark, abyssal colors such as deep indigo, obsidian black, or shadowy purples, reflecting the depths from which their ancestors hail. Deep Dragonborns have a striking, otherworldly appearance, and their eyes often glow with an eerie, bioluminescent light in shades of blue or violet.
One of the most notable characteristics of Deep Dragonborns is their affinity for the esoteric and mysterious. They possess innate abilities associated with the subterranean world, such as the power to manipulate darkness and shadows, an innate resistance to psychic effects, and the capability to blend seamlessly into dimly lit environments. Their breath weapon is often a surge of inky blackness, which can obscure vision and ensnare foes in an otherworldly darkness.
Deep Dragonborns tend to be introspective and contemplative individuals, drawn to the hidden and enigmatic aspects of the world. Many are skilled in magic, particularly spells related to illusion, shadow, and the mind. They often find themselves at home in the subterranean realms, exploring caves, delving into ancient ruins, or communing with the denizens of the deep places of the world.
These unique Dragonborns bring an air of mystique and intrigue to any adventuring party, as they combine the physical prowess of their Dragonborn heritage with the cryptic and enigmatic powers of their Deep Dragon ancestry.
