Homebrew Barri Species Details
The hulking Barri resemble bipedal walruses who tend towards lawful alignments knowing order is needed for survival. Barri appear to be 4-5 ft with hunched backs; However, they would stand tall at 6-7 ft if they were not always hunched forward, as if they carry the burden of their worries like a weight. Barri age slower than humans hitting early adulthood at 30, and due to their extreme living conditions, most live until 80 years. However, several adventurous Barri who left their home for good have been seen to live to 120 years. Their wide blubbery bodies fill a room with ease. They are hard to miss because of this size, because of their rarity outside of the Frozen wastes, and because they make no effort to hide themselves. Coyness and passiveness halt work, delay progress, and cost valuable time when your goal lies in front of you, only manners standing in the way. Those who attempt to dissuade a Barri from their path will find themselves at the wrong end of a pair of tusks. One track minds with legs like mules, a Barri's palpable determination moves most out of their way. Weighing up to 800 pounds these behemoths of blubber forego a dexterous life in favor of running head first into their issues.

The Barri's natural blubber is not enough to ensure their survival. For any Barri to live in the Frozen Wastes they must be strong willed, hearty, and wise in order to insure the best measures for their survival. +2 to your Constitution and +1 to your Wisdom
Blubber
Your natural blubber insulation has protected the Barri people for generations. As such, you have an adept proclivity to the cold and are resistant to all forms of cold damage. Further more, you are immune to the effects of extreme cold weather. However, this natural protection comes at a cost making them vulnerable to extreme heat and it's effects. As a result of the Barri's thick blubbery hides Barri have become less dexterous in exchange for extra protection. As a result, Barri use their Constitution modifier in replacement of Dexterity when calculating their AC.
Artic Fisherman
The Barri have fished the Frozen Wastes for hundreds of years; teaching and telling stories about the land and their own methods to the younger generation as time passes. As such you gain proficiency in navigator's tools, survival, and nature.
Enduring Breath
Being the expert artic fisherman that they are; Barri have become adept at holding their breath for long periods of time during fishing dives from their boats. As such, you can hold your breath for up to one hour.
Endurance over Strength
The Barri are a proud people who know their individual role in their family, and have been taught by the Frozen Wastes that a hearty endurance will always outlast strength. As such, whenever you make a strength check, instead of adding your strength modifier, you can replace it and add your Constitution modifier to the roll. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Barri Pack Tactics
The Barri have fished and hunted together in groups in the Frozen Wastes since the day they come of age. Barri's native language, Barriti, have allowed them to effectively communicate entire paragraphs in a series of guttural noises. This language gives them the advantage over their opponents when hunting with other Barri in close range. You have advantage on non-spell attack rolls, melee and ranged, against another creature if at least one other allied Barri is within 5 feet of the target creature and the allied Barri isn't incapacitated.
