Homebrew Aarakobold Species Details

Born from what people considered impossible, now roams the land. Due to their lineage of a aarakocra, they feel free in the sky. The sky is the territory for them but from their kobold lineage, they also are master of the lands.

They are the a new and mysterious race, never before seen. The world see them as bazzare and weird. People fear them but are fascinated at the same time.

Claws and feathers

From below, they look much like aarakocra but when close up they show resemblance to kobold and aarakocra at the same. Some have sharp and have reinforced claws due to their lineage.

Feathers cover their bodies. Their plumage typically denotes membership in a tribe. Males are brightly colored, with feathers of red, orange, or yellow. Females have more subdued colors, usually brown or gray.

Sky Wardens

Nowhere does the aarakobold seem to not be comfortable. They can spend hours in the air, and some go as for on the land. In battle, they prove dynamic and acrobatic fliers, moving with remarkable speed and grace, diving to lash opponents with weapons or reinforced talons before turning and flying away.

Avian Mannerisms

The resemblance of aarakocra to birds isn’t limited to physical features. Aarakobold display features of kobold and aarakocra. When they settle they tend to go to open mountian areas near lakes.

Many aarakobold punctuate their speech with chirps, sounds they use to convey emphasis and to shade meaning, much as a human might through facial expressions and tend to be very hyper.

The idea of ownership baffles most aarakobold. After all, who owns the sky? Even when explained to them, they initially find the notion of ownership mystifying. As a result, aarakobold who have little interaction with other people might act like a kobold can learn to suppress their nature.

They find it hard not to pluck the treasure and bring it back to their settlement to beautify it. An aarakobold who spends years among other races can learn to inhibit these impulses.

The aarakobold have not settle on where to be. Due to their heritage they tend want to be where there plenty meat and large enough open area to not feel confine.
