Homebrew Anansi Species Details
Anansi are spider-people known for their many limbs and eyes. Their origins are unknown because no god claims them and Lolth, while admiring their design, insists that she didn't create them.
Anansi are very diverse in both appearance and personality. They commonly live in isolated places such as forests or monasteries. When given a reason, however, anansi don't hesitate to leave their homes.
Their many eyes enhance their sight and their powerful limbs, both their extra set of arms and the four spider legs protruding from their backs, grant them great speed and prowess in battle.
Anansi Traits
+2 Dexterity, +1 wisdom, Spider climb, Reactive, Many armed, PerceptiveAbility Score Increase
Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Spider Climb
You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. While using this speed, your hands are free but your spider legs aren't.
Reactive
As long as you aren't holding a weapon with the heavy property or wearing heavy armor, you can take 2 reactions per round instead of 1.
Many Armed
Whenever you hit with a melee attack on your turn, you can make an unarmed strike with one of your spider legs. You can't use this trait while using the climbing speed granted by this race. This trait doesn't apply to attacks made with it.
Perceptive
You have advantage in Wisdom(Perception) checks involving sight.
Size
Anansi typically grow to be a little shorter than humans, at 4 and a half feet on the short end to just under 6". They weigh around 120 pounds. Your size is medium.
Age
Anansi live around 300 years. They are considered adults after the first time they molt, which happens randomly. It's usually before they're 50.
