Infernal Bloodline

Ashlings are biologically related to tieflings, though their evolutionary development has been shaped by the harsh environment from where they hail, the plane of ash. How their ancestors came to live in such an unforgiving landscape is knowledge long lost. The resemble tieflings, but shorter and without tails. Every pigment of their skin and hair is completely black.

Quick Footed

Ashlings are dexterous and move with incredible speed for their size. Evolution has made them proficient climbers, largely due to their slender frame.

Survival Nomads

Ashlings exist in small nomadic tribes throughout the plane of ash. With so little resources, clans can only get so big before they must split and travel in opposite directions. The comb the lands looking for pools of water than can exist in the depths of the vast crevasses that scar the landscape.

Built to Survive

Ashlings need very little sustenance to survive, finding nutrients even in ash. The amount of food and drink you require is 10 times less than an average human. In addition, you have advantage on constitution saving throws.

Your Dexterity score increases by 1, and your Constitution score increases by 2.

Tieflings mature at the same rate as humans but live a few years longer.
