Homebrew Corvusian Species Details

The sun was down and replaced by the moon's glow faster than yesterday. A tall man looked around the surrounding forest. his pale slender hands carved runes and symbols out of the air itself. A crimson wave of quivering wind burst from his mouth. As he prepared for the onslaught of cultists approaching, two ravenlike wings spread wide from his back. His wings flapped and he flew towards the cultists as they sprung from the bushes and shrubbery.

He looked similar to an elf, minus the obvious raven wings on his back. His arms and legs were strong and slender and his eyes were dark and beautiful as a starry night.

 

Raven's Cousin

Corvusians are directly related to ravens. According to legends, The first ever one was originally a human but was turned into one as a gift from the Raven Deity. Corvusians are tall and slender. Generally known as skilled combatants and magic wielders. Corvusians are generally taller than humans, ranging from the higher range of 5 feet, but being known to stand as tall as 7 feet tall. Corvusians usually have a lighter complexion but can have darker shades of skin tone, mostly white, silvery or sometimes a brassy tone. Their facial features are sharp and their eyes tend to be black, dark greys, or rarely silver. instead of bodily or facial hair, Corvusians grow small black feathers in normal hairy areas. Hair colours stick to blacks, sometimes with slight tinges of more abstract colours. they wear clothes that let their wings unfurl into their elegant beauty.

A Bird's Eye View

Corvusians live to be no older than 150 years old. They generally have a more philosophical and questioning outlook on life. Corvusians are as charasmatic as they are wise, becoming the most sought out person at a tavern, both for stories or advice.  

The Crow's Nest

Corvusians don't all live together. they usually mingle among humans, elves and sometimes the smaller folk, such as dwarves, gnomes or halflings. Blessed with handy appendages called wings, Corvusians generally like having their homes as high as they can.

Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Wisdom or Dexterity score is increased by 1.

Age

Corvusians reach maturity slightly faster than humans, being considered a full adult at age 15, and can live to around 150-200 years old.

Darkvision

As a Corvusian, you can see in dim light as if it were bright light up to 60 feet, and in dark conditions as if it were dim.

Bird-like Tendencies

You have proficiency in the Deception and Perception skills.

Avid Spellcasters

Once per short rest as a reaction, you may add your proficiency bonus to a spell attack roll, or add your proficiency to your Spell save DC. You may use this before or after the DM determines the rolls are successful or not.

Raven's Blessing

You have two, large raven-like wings on your back. You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed.

Languages

You can speak, read and write Common and Corvusian, which is a script similarly flowing as elven.

Avian Warcraft

You have disadvantage on ranged attack rolls while flying. You have advantage on spell attack rolls while flying.
