Homebrew Clever Goblin Species Details

Sturdy, clever and rescourceful, these creatures descend from the classic deep dwelling goblins that most think of when they hear the word!

as stated in the Monster Manual,
"Goblins are small, black-hearted, selfish humanoids that lair in caves, abandoned mines, despoiled dungeons, and other dismal settings. Individually weak, goblins gather in large — sometimes overwhelming — numbers. They crave power and regularly abuse whatever authority they obtain."

But as with all races, some are smarter, cleverer and might I even say, Kinder than others of their kind.

Of these special few, fewer still actually make something of themselves and step out into wider society. (and even fewer still overcome the stigma of their birth race)

These creatures tend to be still slower in inteligence than many of the "Higher" races, but not always, and the older they get, and the longer they stay in the sun, the less green their skin becomes, and the cleverer they get.

As Goblins, they show Glee in victory, but for a "Clever Goblin" this glee comes less from victory in battle, but instead from making good trade deals, proving their worth as members of society, and building a life of their own. In this regard, they are almost unmatched in focus to be the best Goblin they can be.

Clever Goblin Traits

Clever Goblins find that they succeed in many aspects of their new lives.
