Homebrew Astral Species Details

Astral are a mix between humans and spirits who have transcended the physical shell of their own body to become something entirely new. Among the Astral there are some with different elements not unlike elementals though the most common Astral has the base to use any of the primal elements of: water, fire, earth, air along with non-elemental like light and shadows. Astral's are beings that come about through various methods some from gruesome ends others from reaching a state of enlightenment and shedding their mortal bodies to become bodies of pure cosmic energy capable of manifesting the powers of nature through expending their own cosmic energy or otherwise known as their life force. Though they are made up of cosmic energy they are still capable of taking physical damage from weapons as materials come from nature which is a part of the cosmic cycle from which they originate from. Not only that but they can be hit by magical spells though mind manipulation spells and spells which would change their state to something like an undead or otherwise have no effect on them. Among the many spells there are they are especially susceptible to sonic spells. Just like how spells work on them they aren't able to use their Ethereal Phasing to pass through objects that have been imbued with magic barriers to block beings from entering where they should not be going unless they have the means to do so.

Astral's are capable of phasing through most anything though some things are impossible for them to pass through such as magic barriers along with the fact magic is able to hit them. With Ethereal Phasing astral are also capable of going through walls and buildings and many other things as long as they aren't magic imbued.

Cosmic Flight

Cosmic Flight allows astral's to float in the air or fly around freely uninhibited by the weather around them.
