Homebrew Arbor Species Details
The Arbor descend from cursed humans who's souls were transplanted into wooden bodies crafted from dead Ents, they are sentient bipedal tree folk, they tend to hide from larger society as they are prized quarry to hunters seeking to sell their wooden flesh and herbaceous organs to dark mages for their profane rituals. Rarely one will break from their clan to explore the world.
Arbor Traits
Arbor are tree like humanoids who resemble any number of tree speciesNature's Serenity
- Nature's Serenity; When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert slightly swaying like a tree during a light breeze, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.
Nature's Protection
- Nature's Protection. Your body has built-in defensive layers, which can be enhanced with armor.

- While you live, your armor can't be removed from your body against your will as vines from your body grow to encompass the armor overtaking it and fastening it to your body.

Age
- Age. A typical Arbor is between two and thirty years old. The maximum lifespan of the Arbor remains a mystery; so far, Arbor have shown no signs of deterioration due to age. Magical aging effects will only empower you granting temporary hp equal to the age you were meant to have been aged to up to 10 temp hp.
Alignment
- Alignment. Most Arbor take comfort in order and peace, tending toward neutrality. But some have absorbed the morality – or lack thereof – of the Humanoids with which they are descended from
Size.
- Size. Your size is Medium Small or Large. To set your height and weight randomly, start with rolling a size modifier.

- Height = 5 feet + 10 inches + your size modifier in inches
- Weight in pounds = 270 + (4 x your size modifier)

- Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. however your buoyant nature prevents you from swimming, your swimming speed is zero.

You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
You don’t need to eat, but must imbibe water and breath air.

Nature's wrath
The Arbor have evolved to be able to transform their limbs at will into bludgeoning weapons and back at will as a bonus action for 1 min regaining the ability to do so again after a short rest. Weapons such as Clubs, Great clubs, Maces, Light hammers, Maul, Warhammer, and Morningstar . These weapons allow the arbor to temporarily replace their natural unarmed damage dice by the amount of dice equal to the new weapons damage. After 1 minute has passed if they have not chosen to revert the limb the limb will remain in weapon form until a short rest is taken.
