This race is just a warforged but mostly sentient, and made of bones and the souls of orphans.

After killing enough (usually one fight's worth, let the DM decide) creature with bones, take them and if you roll a 15 out of a d20, you get +1AC and if you get a nat 20, you become larger and an additional +2 ac
