Homebrew Cordyceps parasitus Species Details
A genus of parasitic fungus, they infest nearby corpses, spreading to them, seeking them out. Once under control it becomes a servant to the hive mind, bringing more corpses to be infected, and gathering dying/dead plants and animals, providing nutrience for more fungus to spread. The hive is the largest collection of fungus, and the hub for growth and prosperity, smaller subsidiary hives will be constructed, each hive creates and controls its own zombies, with the largest hive having control over subsidiary hives as well, creating one giant planet wide network of fungal growths all in service of spreading and populating the planet.
