Homebrew Calcinder Species Details

Stunningly beautiful countenance and deceptively fragile bodies define the calcinders, a race of magically animated beings of fine porcelain.

Elegance and Grace. Constructs imbued with their own souls and personalities, these delicate, almost ghostly figures bear an otherworldly beauty and eloquence, such that being in the presence of one is enough to make most men feel inferior. A happy calcinder is a joy like none other to interact with, while so much as a stern look from one can silence even the most talkative soul.

Children of the Kiln. Despite their air of confidence and self-assuredness, Calcinders are usually extremely fragile thanks to the glass-like consistency of the porcelain that makes up their bodies. Though they are experts at hiding it, this flaw is often a source of great physical and social insecurity, and offenses that would be minor to other races can often cause a calcinder to become quite emotional.

Empty Bodies, Full Minds. A calcinder's fragility comes with some benefits in that they do not need the same sustenance as creatures with mundane requirements, and they are immune to nonmagical disease. They do, however, need sleep; their bodies can easily function without it, but the emotional stress from being awake for too long can prove overwhelming. On the other hand, their lack of a physical brain makes them all but impervious to psychic attacks or charming spells.

Thanks to your inorganic body, you are immune to nonmagical diseases and you don't require food or drink. Furthermore, your extreme social aptitude renders you immune to being Charmed and resistant to Psychic damage.
