Homebrew Aldani (Playable Race) Species Details

Many Chultans can recall fables of eerie lobsterfolk known as  the Aldani. Since there have been no confirmed sightings of these lobsterfolk in years, it is thought they are extinct. Truthfully, many survived and retreated to the Aldani Basin in the heart of Chult. 

Isolated Monstrosities

Aldani are actually descendants of fishers cursed by Ubtao, the god of Chult. Long ago, said fishers caught and ate all the lobsters in the rivers of Chult until none remained. Infuriated by this, Ubtao cursed the fishers to have lobster-like forms.The fishers embraced their new form, but the rest of the Aldani tribe shunned them. The lobsterfolk retreated into the Aldani Basin, where they have hidden for a century. Though the Aldani tribe has been wiped out, the lobsterfolk of the Aldani Basin survive to this day.

Your wisdom increases by 2, and your constitution decreases by 1.

An Aldani's lifespan is unknown.

Alignment

Aldani are usually neutral as they haven't taken part in social affairs for a century, but in rare cases they are good or evil.

Size

Aldani are always medium. Though their shape was changed, their size was not.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 20 feet. You have a swimming speed of 30.

Languages

Aldani haven't had the need to write, so they are unable to. And even if they tried, their claws prevent them from writing understandable words.
