Homebrew Discord Moderator Species Details

In the reckonings of most worlds, humans are the youngest of the common races, late to arrive on the world scene and short-lived in comparison to dwarves, elves, and dragons. Perhaps it is because of their shorter lives that they strive to achieve as much as they can in the years they are given. Or maybe they feel they have something to prove to the elder races, and that’s why they build their mighty empires on the foundation of conquest and trade. Whatever drives them, humans are the innovators, the achievers, and the pioneers of the worlds. At least, that's correct for normal humans. Everything you know about humans is completely opposite of everything Discord Mods are and stand for.

Not A Very Broad Spectrum

Either obese or extremely skinny, these creatures are covered from head to toe in a thin layer of grease. With sticky, thinning hair, Discord Moderators, also called “Mods”, are often found wearing clothes that do not fit them. Obese Mods adorn clothing that is much too tight and unable to contain their bulbous figure. Stick-figure Mods choose to wear baggy clothes to cover their chicken legs and pencil arms. Discord Mods are similar to humans, but are less evolved, so they prefer to live in dark places and not interact with their evolved counterparts. However, they do like to collect items that have RGB lighting.

Discord Moderator Traits

It’s hard to make generalizations about humans, but your Mod character has these unfortunate traits.

Become Alpha

Mods are resistant to Intimidation checks by others when they are online. However, if it is in person, Mods are easily scared.

My Kitten

Most Mods may have a much younger person who they claim to be in love with. One small creature will follow you around and/or become your familiar.

Wumpus' Stench

Mods have an extremely toxic aura surrounding them, around 10 feet in radius. This aura can be used as an action once per long rest, forcing any creature within the 10-foot radius to roll a Constitution check or take 2d6 poison damage.

Ability Score Decrease

Your Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, and Wisdom scores decrease by 2 and your Charisma decreases by 5.

Age

Humans reach adulthood in their late teens and live less than a century. A human that is deprived of familial/parental love will become a Mod between the ages of 16 and 50. Also those who have had good parents, but bad relationships or no relationships with anyone else.

Size

Mods don't vary widely in height or build, they are either extremely overweight or very skinny, with a height of between 5'0 and 5'10. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 15 feet.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Klingon. Discord Moderators typically learn fake languages from video games, movies, and TV shows. They are fond of sprinkling their speech with words borrowed from other tongues: Klingon curses, Halo musical expressions, Genshin Impact villain phrases, and so on.
