Anurans are resourceful froglike humanoids, thriving in the lush landscapes of rain forests and tropical jungles. They are deeply connected to their environment and their own unique caste system, which fosters a sense of unity and specialization.

Tree-Dwelling Amphibians: Anurans have adapted to life in the treetops, where they enjoy the cool shade and protection from predators. The well-guarded hatcheries in the ground-level pools ensure the safety and growth of their young. An Anuran tadpole undergoes a rapid transformation into an adult over three months, reaching maturity after an additional six to nine months.

Castes and Colors: Anuran society operates through a structured caste system, each with its own unique role and purpose. Anuran tadpoles share a common, neutral gray-green color, but as they mature, they acquire the distinctive hues of their respective castes.

• Green Anurans: These are the tribe's dedicated warriors, hunters, and laborers, ensuring the safety and prosperity of the community.
• Blue Anurans: Artisans and domestic roles are fulfilled by the blue Anurans, who contribute to the community's well-being through their creativity and craftsmanship.
• Purple Anurans: The administrative and commanding roles fall to the capable purple Anurans, who guide and oversee both green and blue Anurans.

Higher Castes: Anuran society also recognizes higher castes that hold significant leadership roles. Red Anurans are the scholars and magic users, respected for their wisdom and contributions to the community. Orange Anurans, as elite warriors, have authority over all other Anurans, while the gold Anurans occupy the highest leadership positions, including the role of tribe sovereign.

Caste Mobility: While most Anurans remain in their castes for life, those who distinguish themselves through remarkable deeds may receive an invitation to ascend to a higher caste. This elevation involves a transition facilitated by herbal tonics and ritual magic, resulting in a change of color and induction into the new caste. This honor extends to the Anuran's progeny as well.

Naturally Gifted: Anurans possess a remarkable ability to secrete a unique substance that is harmless to them but serves as a potent defense mechanism against potential threats. They also use their venom for various purposes, including poisoning weapons for self-defense and hunting.

Long-Limbed

When you make a melee attack on your turn, your reach for it is 5 feet greater than normal.

Hold Breath

You can hold your breath for up to 15 minutes at a time.

Poison Immunity

You’re immune to poison damage and the poisoned condition.

Poisonous Skin

Any creature that grapples you or otherwise comes into direct contact with your skin must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. A poisoned creature no longer in direct contact with you can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

You can also apply this poison to any piercing weapon as part of an attack with that weapon, though when you hit the poison reacts differently. The target must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or take 2d4 poison damage.
