Homebrew Arachni Species Details

Arachni are an enigmatic and agile race of spider people, known for their remarkable dexterity, keen perception, and affinity for weaving intricate webs. They are descendants of an ancient arachnid lineage, adapted to both subterranean and forested environments. Arachni are characterized by their striking, vibrant patterns that ressemble various spider species.

Physical charactheristics:

Arachni stand at a height similar to humans having 2 arms and legs, however while females have a slender build, males have a more muscular one, both posses a lightly fur coated skin and 4 spider legs which appear to come out around the thoraic vertebrae, however these function more similarly to arms, these "spider arms" are able to spew out silk for various purposes. Their faces are humanoid in shape, often featuring multifaceted, large eyes that can see in both dim and bright light, their teeth are sharp and have a pair of fangs on their cheeks. (Also, the arachni female to male ration is Four to One)

Cultural traits:

Arachni culture is deeply rooted in a strong sense of community, and they live in interconnected arboreal villages or subterranean tunnel systems, which they construct using their silk-spinning abilities. These intricate web-like dwellings serve as both homes and fortifications. These societies are matriarchal and they value cooperation, harmony with nature, and the preservation of their intricate silk traditions. It is also worth to mention that both females and males fulfill different roles in these societies, as a mayority of males are warriors or soldiers while females did more insider or administrative work although they aren't forced to fulfill the same role as the others of the same gender, since the Arachni society values utility the most.

Alignment:

Arachni lean towards a balanced and harmonious alignment, with a strong sense of loyalty to their communities and the preservation of their natural surroundings. While they value cooperation, individual Arachni can vary widely in their alignment, from chaotic free spirits to disciplined traditionalists.

Relations with Other Races:

Arachni have a cautious but adaptable approach to interactions with other races. They are most comfortable with those who respect nature and demonstrate good intentions. Dwarves, elves, and druids often find common ground with Arachni, while the race's natural curiosity leads them to explore relationships with many other species.
