Homebrew Swarm of Crows Species Details
As with all swarms of creatures, the crows will attempt to pass themselves off as a person. However, their thoughts are limited, though if they have taken on the role of another, they may inherit some of the traits of that creature. The stats of a swarm represent not the capabilities of an individual in the swarm, but the collective mind of all crows in the group, working in unison. The swarm of crows have created a hive mind that allows them to function as a single unit, and while most people don't except this fact, being able to hide among people is a nice bonus to the crows.

Disguise
In order to protect the fact that they are in fact simply a swarm of crows, the crows can create a disguise out of different materials. These could include mud, sticks, rope, string, metal, or any other readily available material in the area. Over a short or long rest, the crows can create this disguise. A creature can make an Intelligence (Investigation) check against the swarms passive Dexterity (Deception) check to find flaws in the disguise, and find out that they are in fact just a bunch of crows in disguise. If the crows require themselves to be seen, or to no longer be wearing the disguise, they can take an action to ditch their disguise. In ditching their disguise, all clothing items they were wearing are cast off of them. Items such as amulets, rings and other small items are held by individuals of the swarm, but armour, clothing and headwear are immediately removed, as the swarm floods out of them into the surrounding area. Without the disguise, the swarm cannot pass itself off as a human of any kind, regardless of the noises it may make with the mimicry ability. The swarm is still able to manipulate objects such as weapons while they are not disguised, however it is much more chaotic, as there is less cohesion in the swarms structure.
Mimicry
The swarm can mimic the sound of other creatures it has heard. After hearing a creature talk for at least 1 minute, the swarm can accurately mimic the sounds of the creature, and make new sounds from them. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a Wisdom (insight) check against the swarms Charisma (Deception) check.
Limited Flight
The swarm has a flying speed equal to its walking speed. Due to the nature of the swarms disguise, the swarm is unable to sustain its normal flight. When the swarm ends its turn flying, it will immediately fall back to the ground. If the swarm has removed its disguise, it is capable of normal flight.
Swarm
The disguise of the swarm protects them from being seen. However, should the swarm ever ditch their disguise, they can unleash the true potential of their swarm. While not disguised, the swarm can occupy the space of another creature, allowing it to fully incorporate another creatures space. As well as this, they can also squeeze through holes that are small enough to fit a single crow.
Natural weapon
Your swarm lashes out against a creature that has entered into the domain of your swarm. While a creature is inside of the swarm, you can make a melee weapon attack against them, dealing 1d6 + str damage on a hit.
Disguise profficiency
In order to create your disguise, you can use a disguise kit, and have learnt how to accurately disguise yourself. You gain proficiency in deception and the disguise kit
