Homebrew Vulpino Species Details

Vulpinos are fox like anthropomorphic creatures. Their fur colour can range from deep reds to golden browns and their paws are always a different colour, usually white or black. They have human hands and animalistic claws which prove very useful for burrowing. They wealthiest of the Vulpino can live following human traditions, in big houses above ground. Though most of them prefer a good burrow dug with their own hands. These holes can become quite lavish, having perfected their construction techniques. They can't compete with the dwarves digging stone, but in moving the earth you will find no finer experts. Once they dig a hole, they can always find their way back to it, no matter how long ago they buried something. They possess a human life span.

Vulpino Traits

Fox like anthropomorphs.

Burrowing

Vulpinos are exceptional at digging in earth, whether to bury a precious treasure or to create a homely hole to live in. Once a vulpino digs a hole or buries something, they never forget where it is and can always find it again. Their digging speed matches their walking speed.

Sensitive Ears and Nose

A vulpinos nose is one of their greatest attributes and most reliable resource. Even if they can't see a foe, they can smell it. They also have sensitive hearing and can use both these attributes to locate prey in total darkness up to a radius of 60 feet, even if their prey is invisible.

Padded Paws

The hands of a Vulpino are small, fine and covered in fur that when well groomed, as most Vulpinos are, are smooth as silk. This makes them natural pick pockets and this is heavily found upon by their kind as they consider such uncouth actions a source of deepest shame. Their feet, being padded allow them to be silent sneakers. Provided they are not wearing medium if heavy armour, they have a natural advantage for stealth, which they have honed to perfection in order to survive.

Darkvision

Within a range of 60ft a creature with darkvision can see in dim light as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light, so areas of darkness are only lightly obscured as far as that creature is concerned. However, the creature can't discern colour in darkness, only shades of grey.
