Homebrew Adaro Species Details
Adaros are frightful creatures with the upper bodies of muscular humanoids, the lower bodies of sleek sharks, and enormous jaws filled with razor-sharp teeth. Nomadic predators of the deep, adaros travel in packs through tropical waters, hunting their prey with poisoned spears and then devouring the victims raw. Adaros willingly feed on humans, merfolk, and other sentient creatures.
Adaro adventurers are the rare shark-people who have learned to control their bloodlust to achieve a long-term goal, such as conquering a large territory, plundering a submerged city, or working alongside other creatures to stop a greater threat.

Adaros are terrifying physically, but their rampant bloodlust hampers their intellect.Natural Armor
You have thick shark-like skin. When you aren’t wearing armor, your AC is 12 + your Constitution modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield’s benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
Amphibious
You can breathe both water and air. Adaro specialize in hunting above and below the waves and have adapted to living in both environments.
Keen Scent (Water)
While submerged in water, you can detect any creature within a mile if its HP is below the total and has advantage with Perception and Survival skill checks when under water. You can smell a single drop of blood in the water from a mile out and can track the scent of any wounded creature while swimming and stalking prey.
Blindsight
You have 30ft of blindsight. You can sense the presence of creatures nearby without the use of their eyes. Your enhanced sense of smell works just as well on land as it does below the water.
Poison Resistance
You have resistance to poisoning and poison damage. Adaro have developed protection from various toxins and poisons due to the usage of their own poisoned weapons.
