Homebrew Caniden Species Details

Caniden have the features and basic instincts of wolves. The degree to which they are similar varies greatly, but as rule they have fur patches, a tail, claws, wolf ears, wolf like eyes, a snout and sharp teeth. Those Caniden that have a human parent may have a human face rather than a wolf one, but they will still have the fangs and eyes. They are friendly unless provoked, but are pretty ruthless as a people. They treat allies as their pack, and treat lies as a huge violation of trust, to the point that a small lie can get a person kicked out of the pack. An adult Caniden is very tall and built, closer to orcs than humans in size and muscle mass.

Caniden are distant offsprings of humans with the werewolf curse.

Caniden have an advantage on Perception, Survival and Investigation skill checks.

Ability Score Improvement

Plus 2 to Strength score and plus 1 to Constitution or Wisdom score.

The ability to see clearly 60 feet around you even in the dark.

Caniden love the company of others and enjoy helping people. Most of the are either chaotic or lawful good.

Age

Most Caniden live around 100 years, but can live to 150 if they have a healthy lifestyle.

Languages

Caniden can speak, read and write Common, Primordial and one other language, they can also communicate with most canines, but on a very basic level.

Wolves always go for the throat and Caniden are no different. A bite to the throat is devastating, a good combination of strength and sharp teeth. They have a wicked bite that deals 1d8 + Strength modifier of Piercing Damage

A Caniden has the walking speed of 30 feet and  Burrowing Speed equal to their walking speed
