Homebrew Werewolf Lineage Species Details
Sometimes, heroes get attacked by werewolves and gain the werewolf curse. As they fight against it on the full moon, they suspect that they will terrorize their friends. But the werewolf only wants to live its life, and it will work with you if you accept it. Accepting the inner wolf changes how you are at a core level.
Werewolf Lineage Traits
Lineage LegacyEnhanced Senses
Even when not transformed, you have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Lineage Legacy
You gain proficiency in two skills of your choice.
Enhanced Healing
When you heal using hit dice or healing kits, you have advantage on the healing amount. For each die of healing, roll it twice and use the higher number.
Hybrid Transformation
As an action, you can transform into a wolf-humanoid hybrid. This transformation lasts for 1 hour, until you die, or until you revert to your normal appearance as an action. At 5th level, this transformation lasts until you revert to your normal appearance as an action. When transformed, your base walking speed is also increased by 5 feet. While transformed, you also have vulnerability to silvered weapons. You can transform this way once per short or long rest.
Wolf Transformation
Starting at 3rd level, as an action, you can transform into a large sized wolf. This transformation lasts for 1 hour, until you die, or until you revert to your normal appearance as an action. When transformed the following is true: You choose whether your equipment falls to the ground in your space, merges into your new form, or is worn by it. Worn equipment functions as normal, but the DM decides whether it is practical for the new form to wear a piece of equipment, based on the creature’s shape and size. Your equipment doesn’t change size or shape to match the new form, and any equipment that the new form can’t wear must either fall to the ground or merge with it. Equipment that merges with the form has no effect until you leave the form. You can’t cast spells, speak or take any action that requires hands. Transforming doesn’t break your concentration on a spell you’ve already cast or prevent you from taking actions that are part of a spell. Your statistics stay the same, but you gain half of your speed worth as additional movement. The first time your transform into Wolf form each day, you gain half of your max hit points worth of temporary hit points. While transformed, you also have vulnerability to silvered weapons. You can transform this way once per long rest.
Forced Transformation
Certain rituals and effects can force you to transform out of your control. Just because you are forced to transform does not mean you are out of control. During a forced transformation, your bite is capable of spreading lycanthropy. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with werewolf lycanthropy.
Natural Weapons
In all forms, you have natural weapons in the form of a claw and a bite. If you make a claw attack you are able to bite as a bonus action.
Your claws deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + Strength Modifier. At 5th level, your claws damage increases to 1d6.
Your bite deals piercing damage equal to 1d6 + Strength Modifier. At 5th level, your bites damage increases to 1d8.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
