Homebrew wolf-kin Species Details

  A community of wolf-kin is known as a pack, and each wolf-kin belongs to one unless banished.  Over the years wolf-kin have settled throughout the forests of the land, mostly hidden and hard to find. Wolf-kin are very noble and loyal to the pack, if its between death or the pack they will always choose to die.  The wolf-kin don't get along with any of the other races, and doesn't trust them. There are 3 major races they hate most of all are humans, orcs, and elves.  Human and Orcs hunt on the wolf-kins land, cut down trees and forests for advancement in society.  The elves and the wolf-kin live together in the forest but have a history. 150 years ago the wolf-kin and elves fought each other.  Not much is know about why or how.  They like to travel together in a pack and sometime they move from forest to forest.  Wolf-kin are biped greater wolves.  Walk on 2 legs have 2 arms humanoids with claws at the end. They are covered in few from top to bottom.  They have 1 main colored coat of hair, and all have a secondary color with different patterns.  The patterns and color will determine the lineage and place in the wolf-kin society.   Extruding snouts all have humanoid hair that grows on top normallu brown or black but sometime different colors if wolf-kin want to stand put in society. 

Size

 a fully grown wolf-kin can range from 5’9” to 7’5”, 150ibs – 250 ibs

Age

 Wolf-kin live to be 20  calendar years, but live to be 140 in wolf/dog years. All wolf-kin grow at a 7-1 ratio each calendar year is seven years in wolf-kin

 Language 

Wolf kin  know common from coming across humans and wolf.

Due to having fur, you enemies has advantage on fire damage

Shadow dash

When making movement in a straight line with, no obstacles in the way you may take an extra 15 feet.

Pack travel

Since wolves travel together movement speed outside of combat it increases speed by 2.5% increase per level after level 5

Preditor's howl

The player howls. You Goad all enemies within a 40 foot radius for 3 minutes, unless you die before the 3 minutes. All players in party receive a +1 to strength modifier.  These effects are active for 3 minutes.  Upon activation make a constitution saving throw, DC = 20 - PC Level, if fail you become confused (roll d6 and look at chart for condition) for the next 3 minutes. 

1-2 - The creature uses all its movement to move in a random direction. To determine the direction, roll a d8 and assign a direction to each die face. The creature doesn't take an action this turn.

3-4 - The creature doesn't move or take actions this turn.

5-6 - The creature uses its action to make a melee attack against a randomly determined creature within its reach. If there is no creature within its reach, the creature does nothing this turn.

ability scores

at character creation Strength ability increase by 1, dexterity ability score increases by 1, and constitution ability score increases by 1
