Homebrew Badgerin Species Details

Shy and resourceful creatures Badgerin are born of magic but are beloved by nature.

The Badgerin stands between 3 and 5ft tall and is heavy set but has surprising agility. All Badgerin are covered in black and white fur, the body is predominantly black with white highlights and the head is white with black around the eyes and ears. Their faces are snouted with a black nose and usually green, brown, or yellow eyes.

The front paws are 4 fingered but agile and can be used for detailed work. Each finger ends in a 2" razor-sharp claw that can be used for fighting. The hind legs have large rounded thighs and backward knees similar to a Puck. Their hind paws are 4-toed with 2" claws on each toe.

Badgerin are nature-loving and they have no ability for magic apart from through nature and are restricted to either Rogue, Ranger, Druid, Monk or Barbarian classes.

Badgerkin have a natural distrust of any magic user and will attack any enemy magic user first regardless of other enemies.

Claws

Claw attack does 1D6 + strength per hand, and can be used as a bonus action. Must have one hand free to be able to attack if unarmed may attack with both hands providing two attacks (one normal attack + one bonus action attack). Unless the character has multiple attacks when the claws can be used for all actions to provide 3 or more attacks.

Darkvision

ability to see in the dark upto 60'

Burrowing

Due to their nature, Badgerin can use their claws to burrow through the earth or any loose-packed material. They cannot burrow through rock or stone surfaces.

Keen senses hearing and smell

Badgerin possess a keen sense of hearing and smell gaining a bonus to initiative and are unable to be suprised
