Homebrew Abyssal Teifling (DR) Species Details

**NOTE** This version of the Abyssal Teifling takes inspiration from the Unearthed Arcana version as well as being fitted to suit DeathRoll Lore pertaining to the abyss.

"Do you understand what you are, child of the deep?"

The unwisened child stood petrified, confronted by a writhing mass of bone made animated by a black gooey mass. The skull of the dead ancient controlled by the unknowable mass inched closer.

"I.. I've come to find out. I wish to learn!" The child spoke with conviction, nearly yelling out into the void that surrounded the scene.

A chuckle rang out, echoing from the skull "This is a dreadful scene," it chuckle'd further "this place is a prison."

A silence came about as goosebumps grew on the body of the child, the unwavering confidence up to this point now deteorating. Fear growing.

The writhing black mass swarmed the bones of the dead titan, forming into a body and rising to it's feet. Convulsing violently as it's true form was realized. "This is no prison for the sins of mortals, you are hardly meant to be here. This prison was designed to keep us binded, contained, they are afraid of us." A wave of power shot out from the body of the ancient horror, pushing back the surrounding abyss, revealing the true nature of their surroundings. "What say you we teach them the true definiton of fear?"

Though you find yourself similar to the common tiefling you are known to be distinct, though not many are sure of the true nature behind this.  Your truth lies in the deep, hardly any knowledge is known of the abyss, for none dare to venture, and those that do don't come back. Are you to ignore your origins and lead a normal life, or are you to learn the truth of your nature
