Homebrew Dragon Species Details

Dragon Traits As a dragon you have the following racial traits

Life Span  Your starting age is 1 to 5 But you can live up to 4400 years old                                                                 

Creature Type.   You are a dragon

Size. Your size is medium, as you level you will increase in size (see table)                                                                     

Speed. Your walking speed is 30 feet.

Flight. Your have flying speed equal to your walking speed   

Other. Depending on your dragon type, you may have additional movement speeds such as: climb, swim, or burrow                                      

Racial Boosts. You have a +2 increase to a stat of your choice and a +1 to a stat of your choice. Or a +1 to three separate stats

Breath Weapon.  You have a breath of your corresponding element. The damage is XD10 where X is your proficiency bonus. The DC is equal to 8 + Proficiency Bonus + Constitution modifier. You may use this ability once per short or long rest.

Natural Armor.  You have natural armor based on your age and level (see table)

Dragon Subtype. 

• Chromatic Type 
• Chromatic dragons get elemental bonus damage added to their bite attacks (see table)
• Reduce (Level 11): Starting at 11th level, as a full action, you may reduce your size to medium.  You retain your natural armor class, but your bite is equal to that of a lvl 6-10 wyrmling and your claw is now 1d4 damage. Your breath weapons range is now 30/5 ft or 15 ft cone but damage is not reduced. You cannot use your tail attack in this form. You can revert to your normal size as a full action. You may use this ability an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus before taking a long rest.  

• Metallic Type  
• If you choose a metallic dragon type, you do not get elemental bonus damage added to your bite attack. However, you may use your  breath weapon one additional time per short or long rest as long as it is your alternate breath type. You may still only use any breath weapon once per combat.
• Polymorph (Level 11): Starting at 11 level, As a full action, you may polymorph into a specific humanoid form.   This specific form is the only alternate form you can assume using this ability. You retain your natural armor class, but cannot use your natural attacks, flight or breath weapon in this form. Any equipment you carry melds into your dragon form but is not otherwise usable until you revert back to humanoid form.  You can revert to your dragon form as a full action.  You may use this ability an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest. 

Elemental Immunity  You are Immune to your corresponding metals or colors element.                                                            

Known Languages  You can speak, read, and write draconic and common. 

Unarmed attack and Multiattack

Level 1:  Bite, Piercing Damage (See Table)

Level 11:  Claw, Slashing Damage (See Table)

Level 11:  Multiattack

Level 16:  Tail, Bludgeon Damage (See Table)

Magical Attacks (level 6) Your unarmed attacks (bite, claw, and tail) count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Dragon Magic (level 1) Dragon spells (Fizbans Treasury of Magic) are considered domain spells for a dragon.  If you are a class with access to spell slots of the appropriate level, these spells are considered automatically known and always prepared.  Casting them still uses a spell slot.   

Senses You have blindsight 30 ft and darkvision 120 ft
