Homebrew Æsir Species Details
The Æsir are an ancient race of powerful beings. Their strength is unparalleled and their wisdom is the envy of even the elves. Æsair are born with an innate strength, though this strength will vary from being to being. Some Æsir have vast knowledge, others immense physcial strength, and even others innate magical capabilities.
Ancient Powers
The Æsir, in their home realm, are immensely powerful beings. They have been around since very near the beginning, living with and cursing one another with impunity. The Æsir each have their specific power, each one having an immunity to one elemental power of some sort and an innate immunity to radiant damage, however, their distance from their realm of power significantly weakens this gift. Their proclivity towards the arcane arts makes them fierce adversaries, gaining more and more magical prowess as they age.
Ageless Visage
Aging is something that the Æsir simply does not accept, and the normal passage of time has little to no effect on them. Once they have reached their peak, the aging process is negligible, nearly halted entirely. They will live for millennia uncounted before showing any signs of age past around thirty, and they retain their strength well into their tenth millennium, and their power only increases with age.
Extraordinary Pride
The Æsir are incredibly vain and prideful, looking down on nearly all other lifeforms as lesser. Although they do not have an inherent hatred or dislike for these creatures, they are much less likely to befriend them, and if they do it is either out of necessity or out of a fascination for them, like a scientist observing strange behaviour in an insect. They will not willingly involve themselves in the affairs of other races or peoples unless the effects of the situation directly affect themselves, and even then they would be hard-pressed to be convinced to help. They are typically within the Neutral alignment, although rarely they venture into Good or Evil, tending more towards the latter than the former.
Great Build
The Æsir tend to be quite large, between 7 and 9 feet in height. They use their strong, muscular builds to intimidate others into bending to their wills. Their great height and imposing appearance make them the last target for bandits and brigands. Æsir are commonly seen among clans of Goliaths or Bugbears, competing with them in feats of strength and athleticism, and the Æsir have a general respect for these races that can compete with them in this way.
Radiant Home to Vagrant Wanderers
In their home realm, the Æsir lived in Asgard, a realm beyond the others where they lived in immense wealth and power, being worshipped by the lesser beings as gods. Through the years some of the Æsir fell through rifts created by evil creatures, winding up in our material plain with no way back. Being trapped here, and with their inherent distrust and disregard for other races, they are typically reduced to vagrant wanderers with a deep-seated belief that all of these creatures should be paying tribute to them. They wander the world, often times travelling to the Feywild or the Underdark looking for ways to increase their already vast knowledge.

Call for Valhalla
It is every Æsir's duty to die in battle, but that does not mean that they are pushovers in a fight. Every Æsir will fight with all they have, even unto their dying breath. Once per initiative, if an Æsir is brought to zero hitpoints and are forced to make saving throws, the first saving throw has advantage.
Walkers of the Bifrost
The Æsir have a special mode of transportation between the nine realms; the Bifrost, a rainbow bridge that only they can cross. This Bifrost is made of pure radiant energy, meaning only a select few can cross it. However their distance from their homerealm has diminished their immunity to this energy, granting them only a resistance to its effects.
