Homebrew Ania 1.1 Species Details

Ania are humanoid animals given life and thought through the god of waves after they Metemed, making them, although in a broad sense, humanoid. Some bare the claws of jackals. Others carry a hawks wings. Nevertheless, they share the common ancestry from their god, uniting them under their love to the god of waves, and cherishing every gift they left behind.

Ania share given racial traits due to the life given to them by the god of Waves

Allows you to track and hunt well.

Ability Score Increase

Your Wisdom score increases by 1, and your Strength score increases by 2.

Speed

Using your animal characteristics, you can traverse land an water with more efficiency. Your base walking speed is 45 feet. Your base Burrowing speed is 45 feet. Your base climbing speed is  45 feet. Your base swimming speed is 45 feet.

Darkvision

Thanks to the Alac of Sight, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

At 1st level, you can cast the Animal Friendship spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 2nd level, you can cast the Hypnotic Pattern spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Arcane Eye spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. At 4th level, you can cast theHallucinatory Terrain spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. At 7th level, you can cast the Divine Word spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Language

Your character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character. The Player’s Handbook offers a list of languages to choose from. The DM is free to modify that list for a campaign.
