Homebrew Corvus Species Details
Located in low income slums, Corvi, more commonly known as ravens, keep to themselves as timid and tenacious creatures.
Corvi typically aren't fond of engaging with other species. Though they do want to make themselves known in the world. Most Corvi simply work as townsfolk.
Though few set their sights greater and become mercenaries, even fewer accomplish these feats without perishing.
Corvi have a large sharp black beak and possess a smaller stature. Most Corvi are around 5 feet in height.
They have narrow, onyx-coloured legs that taper to sharp talons.
Their bodies are covered by feathers, usually in a black colour; though some exceptions are known to exist.
Females of the species have a more puffed up upper body, as well as a slightly more rounded beak.
Despite their impeccable flying capabilities, many Corvi prefer to stay grounded so to not raise any attention. They usually clad themselves in large robes or mantles in an attempt to remain mysterious. Though, when airborne they are capable of staying suspended in the air for up to weeks, only needing to come down if they require any rations.
Their avian resemblance isn't apparent only in physical likeness; Corvi also display many of the same mannerisms, they especially enjoy hunting for fish and bathing themselves in natural water sources. Many ravens punctuate their speech with chirps, sounds they use to convey emphasis and to shade meaning, much as a human might through facial expressions and gestures. A corvus might become frustrated with people who fail to pick up on the nuances.
Their primary language is Corvian.
