Homebrew Afton built - 1983 Species Details

These nightmarish animatronics serve a much more distinct and unusual purpose than the typically family friendly animatronics built by Fazbear Entertainment and its original owners. These animatronics weren't originally intended to inhabit a physical form, only manifesting as nightmares forced into individuals through outside means, and only having a bare endoskeleton as something resembling a physical form. But as a coverup, Fazbear Entertainment constructed replicas of these animatronics to try and cover up their malicious and sadistic existence. These replica's follow planned details very closely down to the endoskeletons, unfortunately leading to the unknown construction of mechanisms within these machines that allow for the production and secretion of a gas that induces paranoia and fear into those who inhale it.

The malicious existence of these animatronics comes with malicious intentions behind their design, including a mechanism that was supposed to manipulate the minds of those around it for sadistic purposes.

Nightmare toxin

An internal mechanism within your endoskeleton allows for the production and secretion of a gas that induces fear and paranoia into those who inhale it. After every long rest your stored toxins are increased to their maximum capacity, which is 1 gallon to start. You can secrete differing amounts of nightmare toxin, resulting in differing levels of potency, range, and gas used.

The range of the gas increases by 10 feet with every third of your capacity released, and all effects disappear if a target remains outside of the cloud for at least one turn. Inhaling gas fills targets with paranoia and makes them fearful.
At 1/3rd of your capacity released, the targets within the cloud start to hallucinate and gain disadvantage on roles pertaining to hitting you.
At 2/3rd of your capacity released, targets cannot concentrate on actions that require concentration, and any stealth attacks made against effected enemies gain advantage.
At all of your capacity released, targets within the cloud are inflicted with frightened, with you being the source of their fear due to your nightmarish appearance.

At the 4th and 8th level, you may pick one of the additions below:

-Condensed toxin: The nightmare toxin produced within your endoskeleton is stored with much less air and other gasses, allowing for you to hold an extra gallon.

-Breakdown toxin: Your toxin has begun mixing with other materials around your endoskeleton and has become more toxic as a result, dealing 1d4 damage to those inside the gas cloud every turn.

-Thick toxin: Your toxin has become more opaque and darker in color, making it much harder to see through and causing inflicted targets to only see within 5 feet around them. Further picks of this addition reduce affected targets movement by 10, due to the toxins filling them with more paranoia and making them anxious to move.
