Homebrew Axolarian Species Details

Evolved from the endangered species, the Axolarians are a species who remain mostly to themselves in the underwater kingdom of Aloxzar. 

Because of the mistreatment they faced from humans, Axolarians have a natural disliking to humanity. 

The Axolarians are a species with a wide range of physical difference. They can be pink, yellow, brown, black and the albinos being white, some have the ability to glow in the dark with bioluminescence. 

Their face shapes are often round and soft, being observed as childlike by Human and Elf witnesses. They have 6 feathery gills, 3 on each side of their head, and a long tadpole esc tail that moves similarly to a cats. 

Their skin is smooth and devoid of all hair, thin and closely packed scales that feels and looks like soft skin. Each Axolarian is born with a set of distinctive markings on their forearms, thigh and their tails main body. 

They are often around 4 feet and rarely surpass 5 feet in height. They only reach their final height at 25 years of age, for both genders. Male height range is 4'4 to 4'11 and female is 4'4 to 4'7.

The Axolarians all have an affinity for magic, many scholars suspect that the evolution from an average animal to a bi-pedal humanoid was not natural but involved the interference of an ancient magic wielder. The magic is often leaning towards that of elemental based magic, most commonly water. Many Axolarians perform as Wizards or clerics. 

When dried out (in a hot place, hit by fire or heat) take passive damage until skin Is rehydrated.
