Homebrew Avinor Species Details

The avinor people live entirely on a lone, secluded island. They descend from a cult that believed becoming birds would protect them from a coming apocalypse. Said apocalypse never came, but the foliage on the island supported their choice in mutation, so a decently sized population of them eventually sprouted.

Despite the fact that their arms are formed entirely into feathers, they remain dexterous and can still use tools as well as sustain flight. These feathers made into wings are also hard enough that they're commonly sharpened into natural blades.

Avinors have various abilities relating mostly to their biology.

Avinors are quicker on their feet than others, and are able to fly, less so than other races capable of flight, however.

An avinor's movement speed is 35ft, and they have a 40ft flying speed. When you are flying, if you hold anything in your hands or attempt to use your arms for anything other than flying, you immediately fall. You also can't fly when wearing medium or heavy armor.
