Homebrew Cambion Species Details

These Half human half demon  creatures can not be distinguished from standard humans unless they have transformed. Being a combination of the two they are extremely powerful even more powerful than their respective halves. A cambion could beat a demon in charm and a human in intellect. Cambion's are extremely powerful and should not be underestimated. The sad truth of a cambion is the fact that they do not take a single breath or come to life until they are seven years old and it is only then that they see the light of day and breath their first breath of air. Cambion are birthed out of their mother's corpse being a child of an incubus the mother dies during the birthing process and the children are usually taken and buried so that they are killed before their seventh year. The appearance of a cambion is a surreal event in itself often being a rare fluke where the child awakens at birth and takes flight. Or when the child was saved by an onlooker and kept safe until they can take their first breath. When Building your backstory be sure to include the events that led to your first breath being taken and what you woke up to.

These Cambion can during extreme agony transform into powerful demons with wings that appear to be made of a viscous fluid (The color of which is determined by the player) as well as two large horns that extend from their forehead as well as a large tail also made from the same fluid. The skin appears to churn and flow with this demonic fluid your facial features are reduced to two glowing white circles for eyes and terrifying glowing white outline for a mouth. This form instills fear into your party members as well as the enemies.On the Rare chance that two cambion meet they can transform just by locking gaze with one another forcing a sort of ritualistic dance that must end in one handing the other one their demonic energy and they are reduced to a mere human with half of their maximum hit points. (This combat can be stopped by surrender,death, or fusion)

Two cambion in their demonic form may fuse through a dance to create a cambion in human form that rivals the power of the celestial army (+3 to STR or DEX). Yet this causes one to give their life in order to empower the other. (If it is two players they both roll A D20 and the lowest role gives up their life) If a fused cambion does appear their demonic form will have two tails instead of one and all stats have an additional +1 to every stat after fusion. (Fusion can occur up to 4 times in a cambion) 

Cambion Traits

Flight You gain a 50 foot flying speed from your Demonic Form. Ability score increase Your Charisma score increases by 2 and all stats increase by 1. Devilish Charm Due to your Demon heritage you have advantage on Persuasion rolls.  Languages You can read write and speak Common and Abyssal, and infernal.

At higher level you may choose to learn another language by tapping into the mind of the great one.

Darkvision

Thanks to your Infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim Conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in Darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in Darkness, only shades of gray.
